Our Strategies and Programs . . .

A. Capacity-Building

    1. Paralegal Education & Training

To provide education about one’s rights and responsibilities under the law

To launch awareness campaigns on pressing issues greatly and/or directly affecting members of the organization or the community

To provide basic skills, that individuals and people’s organizations can use to defend and assert their rights

To assist communities in developing a core of volunteers from within the community that can popularize the issues among its members or service their needs.

   2. Participatory Development Planning and Governance

To provide continuing training on topics in connection with the Local Government Code, especially in relation to its provisions on people’s participation in development planning;

To advocate for the passage of statutes and ordinances that would promote people’s participation

   3. Gender Mainstreaming and Promotion of the Welfare of both the Young and the Elderly

To provide gender and child rights awareness seminars and training to people’s organizations, community leaders and law enforcers towards improving the implementation of laws and programs designed to promote gender equality and sensitivity and the protection of children and their welfare

   4. Health

To assist in the development of health-seeking behavior among the underprivileged, especially the women, children and youth, by providing seminars on maternal and child health, reproductive health and adoles­cent sexuality, and combating substance abuse among children and youth

    5. Economic Empowerment

To assist people’s organizations and communities in the creation or establishment of livelihood development programs and social enterprises.

To facilitate access to service providers and institutions (both public and private), that provide livelihood training and/or support/assistance through financing, management assistance and training, etc.

B. Research, Documentation and Publication

    a. Production of training manuals
    b. Production and distribution of popular education materials
    c. Online publication
    d. Data banking

C. Networking

Collaborate with other NGO’s and service providers on specific programs or concerns;
  • Encourage partnerships with the LGU’s, particularly the barangay, as well as civic institutions, the private sector and national government agencies in implementing particular programs;
  • Strengthen linkages with people’s organizations, NGO’s and other stakeholders.
